ACV signs the Regulation on coordination with Dong Nai Police and Dong Nai Military Command to ensure safety and security during the implementation of Long Thanh International Airport Project.

On April 28, 2021, the Regulation on coordination ceremony amongst Dong Nai Police, Dong Nai Military Command and the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was held to ensure safety and security during the implementation of Long Thanh International Airport Project in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

The General Director of ACV, the Director of Dong Nai Police and the Commander of Dong Nai Military Command signed the Regulation on coordination.

The delegates consist of Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Duc Tan, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee; Colonel Vu Hong Van, Director of Dong Nai Police; Colonel Vu Van Dien, Commander of Dong Nai Military Command. On behalf of ACV, Chairman Lai Xuan Thanh; General Director Vu The Phiet; Board of Directors members, leaders of Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Unit and representatives from other ACV’s departments also attended the ceremony.

Long Thanh International Airport is a national significant project that has crucial implications for the country’s socio-economic development and national defense and security.

The project investment policy was ratified by the National Assembly in Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13 dated June 25, 2015 in addition to phase 1 feasibility study report approved in Resolution No. 95/2019/QH14 dated November 26, 2019.

The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1777 / QD-TTg dated November 11, 2020 approving Phase 1 of Long Thanh International Airport. Accordingly, Phase 1 is divided into four sub-projects in which ACV was assigned as the investor of the sub-project 3 related to essential airport facilities.

The Airport is expected to reach level 4F assigned by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and becomes a crucial international airport of the country as well as one of the international aviation transit hubs in the region.

The first phase of the Long Thanh international airport project will invest in constructing one runway, one passenger terminal, and synchronous auxiliary items with a capacity of 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per annum.  The project is contemplated to put into operation by the end of 2025. Long Thanh International Airport when completed, will have 4 runways, 4 passenger terminals and other synchronous auxiliary items with capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per annum.

Implementing Decision No. 1777 / QD-TTg dated November 11, 2020, on January 5, 2021, ACV solemnly held the Groundbreaking ceremony of the sub-project 3 – Long Thanh International Airport and the implementation of bomb and mine clearance, site preparation for construction and fences.

In order to ensure safety and security for the Project implementation on protecting boundaries, fence walls, bomb and mine clearance work and preventing re-encroachment, ACV, Dong Nai Police and Dong Nai Military Command held the Regulation on coordination ceremony.

When the Regulation on coordination was signed, ACV directed Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Unit and Security Department to develop and sign cooperation plans with relevant professional units of Dong Nai Police, Dong Nai Military Command and the neighboring districts related to the project area to specifically implement the contents of the Regulation on coordination.

ACV will closely coordinate and support Dong Nai Police and Dong Nai Military Command to fulfill the Regulation with all favorable conditions.
