US carrier Delta Air Lines has unveiled its latest Delta Sky Lounge. The space is situated within the Delta Sky Club in Concourse E at Boston Airport and will open on Wednesday, December 12th.
Bringing the lounge to Boston
Delta is bringing the most upscale of its lounge offerings to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) this week. The airline’s third Delta One Lounge measures 6,700 square feet and will seat just over 120 patrons.
The space will be open daily from 14:00 to 21:00. It was designed to reflect Boston’s maritime past and academic heritage, with a custom-designed sail ceiling and a maroon and leather color palette that also pays homage to the city’s classic learning institutions.
The nautical theme is carried over from the adjacent Sky Club, but in the new lounge, guests will be able to enjoy a full dining experience with a menu developed by Chef Ed Brown. Claude Roussel, Vice President of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, highlighted the uniqueness of the space:
“No two Delta One Lounges are alike – with each new space, we strive to create something truly special and distinct to the host city, while never compromising on service or quality.
“We want guests of this Delta One Lounge to feel like VIPs at the city’s finest private dining establishment, one that draws inspiration from the history and culinary traditions of Boston.”
The space’s centerpiece is the ceiling and bar, which are designed to reflect the shape of the USS Constitution or “Old Ironsides,” the world’s oldest commissioned naval warship still afloat, which resides in nearby Boston Harbor.
Several subtle elements help create a nautical ambiance, like a foot rail at the bar’s base and a metal cage overhead. Shades of blue are also used in banquettes, dining chairs, and custom carpets, which complement the Bronze accents at the bar.

For a modern take and contemporary view, the lounge overlooks Boston Harbor and the Boston city skyline, offering stunning views for waiting passengers. Lounge guests will also have access to the adjacent Delta Sky Club, which includes a living room with soundproof booths and accessible shower suites.
Guests will receive a three-course meal, with options like crabcake, cod Milanese, New England pan roast, and the Maine lobster roll, served in less than an hour. For those looking for a lighter offering, there are cup or bowl offerings of New England Shellfish chowder or Potato and Mushroom chowder, which are offered alongside the first course, signature bar snacks, and local Boston desserts.
There are options for travelers looking for something sans seafood, including a prime steak tartare, crispy cauliflower, and the fan-favorite steak frites. Dessert options include warm apple tarts and a slice of the local classic Boston cream pie.
Delta doubles down in Boston
Delta Air Lines has a long connection with Boson, having celebrated 90 years of operations in the city last year. The SkyTeam carrier is flying to 50 domestic and 13 international destinations from Boston this winter across nearly 160 departures on peak days.
This winter, the carrier’s network will include new destinations, including flights from Boston to San Antonio, Honolulu (the airline’s longest domestic link), and Bozeman, Montana (for Yellowstone National Park). The next route to come online will be the carrier’s service to Liberia, Costa Rica, which begins on December 21st.

Next summer, Delta will operate its international schedule from Boston to its largest yet and launch four weekly flights to Milan (Boston’s largest unserved European market) and Barcelona in May 2025
